    It is daylight savings time in these places and the hours are being increased by one hour in the sunrise and sunset times. This is because back in World War I it was created by the US for people to take advantage of daylight hours and use less lighting, thus providing more energy to make war supplies. The Daylight Savings Time will not affect our trend charts because it is only our clocks that Daylight Savings Time affects, not the amount of time between sunrise and sunset. So, whether the sun rises at 6 and sets at 7 or rises at 5 and sets at 6 it will still be the same amount of time in between.
