Range of dates - April 23-16 = 7
Median of dates - 19 + 19 = 38 Divided by 2 = 19
We believe Lanny's first hummers will come on April 19. The median of the ten dates was 19, so we believe that it was the answer, but to confirm our reasoning, we found the average of the 10 dates. The sum came to 191 and dividing that by 10 gave us 19.1, or 19 days into April. To continue, the 1/10th left over we multiplied by 24 hours, which gave us 2.4 hours into April 19.
