Every spring, all the western flock have been travelling upwards for many decades. We feel that they are making the risky, dangerous trip to Canada because it is part of their life cycle. It is an inborn ability for them to travel far up north once the air starts to get warm. Even though there is snow, the birds will withstand this to get up north for the hot summer that they
would encouter if they stayed down south. (according to Tom Stehn's report).
