We feel that the reason the equinox occurs for everyone on Earth, at the same time, is related to where we are in our revolution around the sun and the tilt of the Earth. The sun does NOT rise and set at the same time everywhere on Earth because the Earth is constantly rotating. Once place, like China, would see the sun before we saw it in Greenville, SC. The sun would also set in China before it sets in Greenville.
