"We do telemetry flights every so often to look for nests or missing birds. Here you can see what we see if we spot flying whoopers while we are in the air. They are just little specks of white over the landscape! These four whoopers are #828, #830, #924 and #926. They ended up on the refuge later in the day. Since then female #830 has seemingly paired with male #211. I hope they stay together! I felt so bad for #211 when he lost his long-time mate to a gunshot in December 2009 while at a migration stopover."
