| Migration Begins! |

The eight young cranes led by ultralight planes to Florida last fall departed March 31 on their first journey north! They left together after this photo was taken from their wintering grounds at St. Marks NWR with a tailwind to speed them along. Good migration weather is forecast for the next two days, and trackers will be alert for their radio signals. We wish them safe travels and a swift return to Wisconsin!
