Season's First Chick! |
May 12, 2014 |
A pair of Wisconsin Whooping Cranes has hatched the year's first chick in the eastern flock! Female #13-03 and mate #9-05 were first seen incubating on April 9, 2014. Their chick hatched May 8. This pair first nested in spring 2011. Visit their bio pages on pages Hatch Year 2003 and Hatch Year 2005 at "Meet the Cranes" to find out which two 2014 ultralight-led chicks came from eggs laid by these parents.
