First Brief Message from Angangueo
September 24, 2004

Hello to all people involved in the Migration of the Monarch Butterfly over the 2004-2005 season.

In Angangueo, children are now back to school again, since last month.

Life runs as normal in Angangueo. Timber robbers seem to be quiet, --at least for some time, since an official Guard is permanently up in the Reserve (we dont know for how long); they are said to be sent by the State Government.

Ragarding the Monarchs, the only outstanding event is that a man from Angangueo who owns a ranch on the way from Angangueo to Aporo, said to Mr. German Medina, that he saw two butterflies overflying his property in June, and asked German how this was possible. He assures those butterflies he saw are indeed Monarchs.

This commentary was made to Mr. Medina about three weeks ago.

For the moment this is all we can comment, our climate will continue to be fresh and rainy until mid-October most likely, with temperatures of 10-18 Celcius Degrees.

Many greetings to all.
