Message from Angangueo
October 6, 2004

Hello friends from Journey North. This time I have not too much to tell you. We have no news about Monarchs approaching our region. The wheather continues to be very rainy, cloudy and cold (8-10 Centigrade Degrees).

The town is only awaiting for the result of new elections. We need a lot of support, specially regarding employment sources. We are confident that our next president (whoever) will be much better than the current term in general. Carpentry which was up to some months ago, one of the main economical activities in town, seems to be going down now.

Small mills and carpentry businesses, shown in these pictures, are a common sight in Angangueo.

Sales on this are not at all what they used to. Personally, I think that they "jammed" the small market they had. I think it would be very good to find other options to make a living in Angangueo besides Carpentry, since this means also wood cutting in the end.

Greetings to all, and until next week.
