His Stash!

"Still have male ruby throats here," wrote Mark Ledeboer on Aug. 24. "Seems late for them to still be here."

On the same day from many states farther south, Texan Mary Nanex reported: "Male ruby throated hummingbird with his beautiful red throat. Little bird sat in crepe myrtle tree and guarded the feeder. Woe to any hummer who tried to take his stash."
