What About This Bill?

"I still have the same female hummingbird at my feeder all day long. I know it's the same one because she has a defective beak. She seems to have no trouble feeding from the flowers or feeder, though. She is really spunky and actually sits on her perch (in a shrub next to the feeder) until a bee comes along and then she chases it away.  I sit and watch her catch insects out of the air! She's been here just over a week now...hopefully she checks her calendar soon and sees that there's somewhere she needs to fly to soon! Will miss her when she leaves." —Colleen from Almont, Michigan
