Rubythroat in Mexico!
We were thrilled when the first hummingbird report from Mexico arrived August 31! The sighting is from Victoria, Tamaulipas—a famous place for watching monarch migration. It's in the Sierra Madres Oriental, and the monarchs fly along the mountain ridges. Hummers must be on the route, too, as this observer celebrates:

"One adult male Ruby-throated Hummingbird arrived August 31 at the feeder! He was on my feeder for three days. Every year they pass in early spring and again in early autumn."
