Guarding Feeders
Hummingbirds must eat more than their weight in food each day. They meet this need by eating often. No wonder they vigorously defend flowers and feeders where they find meals!
"They were alternately feeding and chasing one another off the feeders. Each would rest briefly in the trees before flying in for another round of feeding and fighting."
