Ruby-throated Hummingbird Map Questions
(Teachers: Map is hotlinked for larger projection on smartboard or screen.)

1. Use a crayon, colored pencil, or marker to draw a band on the map that shows where the Ruby-throated hummer migration has reached.

2. Using another color, draw a second band on the map showing where you think the Rubythroats will arrive by next week.

The numbers on the map measure how far north each latitude line is from the equator.

At what town and/or latitude was this week's most northern sighting reported?

Do you think that "late" Rubythroats are still coming up from their winter grounds in Mexico and Central America? How can you tell?
