Rufous Hummingbird Map Questions
(Teachers: Maps are hotlinked for larger projection on smartboard or screen.)


The numbers on the map measure how far north each latitude line is from the equator.

Look at the Rufous migration map. Have they reached their northern-most habitat?
Study the bright green area of the distribution map. What happens when the hummingbirds reach this area?

Where on the map might the rufous hummingbirds already be nesting and starting to raise their young? Why do you think so?
