Keep your eyes on the maps above to see what happened with the weather last week. Notice the area in and around the pink circle (in the Pacific Northwest). Genrerally rufous hummers are moving northward from Vancover Island this time of year. There wasn't a single sighting report between Vancover Island, BC, and Alaska last week. Why? Let's explore the possibilities.
