March 21: Niceville, Florida

First Ruby sighted at feeder and several others, one was a Rufous. First sightings for both!!!

March 19: Richmond, Virginia

Placed two feeders 3/12/11. Noticed draw down of the feeder 3/18/11. Caught first sighting at 6:15PM today, 3/19/11!

March 18: Copperas Cove, Texas

A male ruby was observed for the first time today at my feeders. 3:15 PM. Has made three trips to the feeders within an hour.

March 17: Black Creek, British Columbia
(30.34 N, -81.83 W)

First Rufous, and it was a female, usually we see males followed by females a week later.

March 15: Oceanside, California
(33.21 N, -117.36 W)

In warm weather keep the feeders filled with fresh food every few days to prevent fungus and bacteria from growing in the sweet nectar.
