It has been an unusual spring for sightings in Willis, Texas. Ken reported "hoards of rubies" still trying to get to his feeders. He said the great numbers of rubythroats were more like the numbers he sees during fall migration. "Most of the feeders are now guarded fiercely by an adult male, so it is impossible to get a shot of the swarm. This shot is of one of the especially fierce males!" 05/11/13
