Males on the Move
Generally male hummingbirds arrive first to set up and defend a territory.
"Males are in a hurry to get up to Canada to lay claim to their turf. Females take their time, all the way into May to get up there. Yesterday morning a male and female showed up. The male was here briefly before he was gone north. This female hung around. Good luck little guys!" Tacoma, Washington 03/25/14
