Rufous in Alaska
Rufous hummingbirds have advanced northward in the Alaskan Panhandle, where some say they're arriving early.

"First rufous this afternoon, a male. The date matches the earliest arrival at this location on Harris Island, Sitka, Alaska. Other hummingbirds have been reported in the Sitka area earlier this year."
