Calliope
The Calliope hummingbird is the smallest bird in North America. Its summer habitats include open high altitude forests and mountain meadows in the northwestern United States and Canada.

"A couple days ago we saw our first hummingbird, earlier than usual. It happened so fast but I'm pretty sure it was a Calliope." 04/13/14  Missoula, Montana
