Male Anna's
These tiny hummingbirds are often called flying jewels. Their iridescent gorget feathers extend from their neck up and around their head. Even the females have a small, pink gorget. The Anna's are one species that doesn't migrate, or they just migrate short distances to find good food sources throughout the year. This little bird is one of the most commonly sighted hummingbirds along the Pacific Coast.
