Watch the Wind
With a tail wind, Ruby-throated hummingbirds will fly from Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula over the Gulf of Mexico to the US Gulf Coast in the spring. Strong north winds this week have not been favorable for flight. Forecasts show a shift to south winds early next week, so get the feeders ready for the first Ruby-throats arrival.
