When you report a sighting, Journey North maps display the raw data. All of the sightings people report are plotted on the maps immediately. We review the data regularly, and contact observers for more information when a sighting is in question. This is how we keep our data as accurate as possible. Photos submitted by citizen scientists help validate sightings.
