Often Journey North teachers take advantage of their classroom windows to attract hummingbirds. Here at McDougall Elementary first grade students are learning first hand about Ruby-throat spring and fall migration!
"The hummingbirds have returned from the south. We saw one at our class feeder. Sixteen students in our class have seen hummingbirds at home! Last weekend was very cold and snowy. We were worried about the hummingbirds being too cold. We were happy to see hummingbirds this week since that means they survived the cold," reported Barbara in Parry Sound, Ontario on May 17th.
