Colorado Snowstorm
The end of April brought a winter storm to parts of the Rocky Mountains. According to John Sprot, who feeds hummingbirds all summer, the 12" snow that fell was the biggest snowfall of the winter. Broad-tailed hummingbirds weathered the storm thanks to John's diligence in keeping his feeders thawed.

"We got 12 inches of snow and last night was 18°F. I bring feeders in at night and put them out at first light, then swap as they start to freeze," wrote John.
