    Dear Friends,
We got some of your butterflies. They're beautiful! They landed safely
in Friends Seminary in New York, NY. Our school is on 16th St. between
2nd and 3rd Avenues in Manhattan. Some are ripped, but not damaged very
much. Others look new. We like the colors. Just like real monarchs,
some had an easy journey and some had a painful journey. But all arrived
safely! The monarchs spent the winter in Mexico City and were cared for
by a Mexican student named Maria del Mar Montiel. Here are the schools
where the butterflies we received came from:

Memorial Elementary School in Natick, MA
Church Street School in Tupelo, MS
Delevan Elementary School in Delevan, NY
Pecan Springs Elementary in Austin, TX
    Brenham Elementary in Brenham, TX
Kinkaid Lower School in Houston, TX
Auburn Middle School in Riner, VA
    Henderson School in Starkville, MS
    Palm School in Austin, TX
Selma Elementary School in Selma, IN
Meadow View School in Eugene, OR
    Hilliard Elementary in Hilliard, FL
Pinewood Elementary in Mounds View, MN

Please send us e-mail so we can give you Maria's mailing address. We know
    you'll want to thank her!
Your Second and Third Grade Friends in Room 207
P.S. Please tell us if you received our butterflies!
