Five butterflies touched down at South Shades Crest Elementary School this
morning. Four of them were cared for by students in Michoucan, Mexico and
one by a student in Cuernavaca Morelos, Mexico. They were in surprisingly
good condition considering the distance they have traveled ! Our symbolic
monarchs were cared for by Xavier, Mayia, Juan Carlos, Maria, and Gonzalo.

Our butterflies started their migration last fall from:
Judd Elementary, New Brunswick, NJ grade 5 (This is the one that wintered
    in Cuernavaca)
Perry Elementary School in Perry, Oklahoma
St. Pascal School in St. Paul, MN
Mrs. Adam's Class at Harvey Green School in Freemont, CA
    and
Cub Run School in Cub Run, Kentucky

    Time to start writing letters!

    Sincerely,
South Shades Crest Elementary School, Hoover, AL
