    Dear Friends,
Our Kindergarten class received symbolic butterflies on Friday, May
    2. Some of them spent the winter at the Symbolic Monarch Migration exhibit
at El Rosario Monarch Sanctuary, Michoacan, Mexico, where Mexican students
visited them in November and December.

Here are the schools where the butterflies we received came from:
    Bear Exploration Center, Montgomery, AL
Lakeside Intermediate School, Hot Springs, AR
New Albin School, New Albin, IA
Beacon Hill School, Chicago Heights, IL
Johnsburg Junior High School, McHenry, IL
Brownie Troop #1447, Maplebrook School, Naperville, IL
    Concordia Lutheran School, Hyattsville, MD
    Dickerson School, Chester, NJ
    Hillside School, Livingston, NJ
Thirteen and Fourteen Year-old students from Ravenna, OH
    Ashley School, Vernal, UT

We raised monarch larvae in our classroom last Fall. They developed very
fast because it was so warm in our classroom. We released them on
September 23. We have enjoyed learning about Monarchs, habitats and Mexico.

    Sincerely,
    Ann Godfrey's Kindergarten Class
    Longfellow Community School
    Minneapolis, MN
