Dear Journey North Friends:
Today our class received four specially tagged butterflies. One of the
most beautiful butterflies we received was made at A.E. Phillips Laboratory
School in Ruston, Louisiana. (We'd like to know how you made your
butterfly). We also received beautiful butterflies that were made by Indian
Creek Intermediate School in Traflgar, Indiana, and Riverview Elementary
School in Ft. Mill, South Carolina. These were tagged by tourists at El
Rosario Monarch or Sierra Cincua Sanctuary in Michoacan, Mexico. We also
received a specially tagged butterfly that was made by Colonia Nva Imagen
in Saltillo Coah., Mexico who was on the Monarch's Migration Pathway.
Other butterflies we received were from:
Penn Valley Elementary in Narberth, Pennsylvania
Mrs. Eberly's second grade, Fulton Elementary School, Ephrata,
Pennsylvania
Mrs. Frasier's Class in Garfield Community Magnet School, Revere,
Massachusetts
Downey School in Westwood, Massachusetts (2)
George Buck Elementary School in Indianapolis, Indiana
Rison Elementary School in Rison, Arizona
Mrs. Evans' Science Class, Greenfield Middle School, Greenfield,
Indiana (3)
Mrs. Gregory's Third Grade at Moyock Elementary School in Moyock,
North Carolina
Aquila Primary Center in St. Louis Park, Minnesota
Rochester Elementary School in Rochester, Indiana (3)
My class is so excited. If you are on this list, we will be writing
to you soon! We are thrilled to be able to have a pen pal from another state!
