Mystery Class #5--Wiesbaden, Germany Greetings
from Mrs. Joan Durham's First Grade class, We are from Aukamm Elementary School, which is a Department of Defense Dependents' School, for family members of military members serving in Germany. Country-Germany After World War II, Germany was divided into two countries, East Germany which was part of the communist bloc, and West Germany. In 1990, after the fall of the USSR , our two countries were unified again. Our
City-Wiesbaden
Wiesbaden is the capital city of Hessen. For centuries, Wiesbaden has been renowned for its baths and spas, and at one time was referred to as "The Nice of the North." Even today, tourists come to Wiesbaden for the wonderful spas and baths. Wiesbaden also has several wonderful architectural attractions, including museums, government buildings and churches.
