Clues from the Mystery Classes

 Here's What's Coming Next. . .Early Times & Clues

Next Thursday, April 13, we'll post the final set of times and clues a little early, so that you can prepare and submit your answer by the April 21 deadline. To help you get ready, we're again providing the Instructions today on how to submit your answers properly. (We'll post them again next week too.)

Houston, We Have Liftoff! Latitude Shoes Travel Report

Texas travel correspondent, Michelle Yates, is back in her fifth grade classroom after a quick airborne adventure (don't worry, it was an excused absence). She lifted off from Houston at 30 degrees N latitude and shared all the sights and sounds (and smells) she observed in her 24 hour, round the World journey.

Get your World Atlas, fasten your seatbelt, and retrace her amazing flight.

Results Are In! Discussion of Challenge Question #7

In last week's Update, we asked you to describe the results of your egg balancing testing, and tell us whether you were able to draw any conclusion "about whether eggs balance any better on the Equinox than during the other four weeks of testing?"

Mrs. Phillips' class from Warfield Elementary in Florida submitted their hypothesis, test data, and conclusions. Did your testing lead to the same conclusion?

You're the "Eggspert"
Now that you're an "eggspert", do you want to test others' knowledge (show off a little)? As Rod said in his explanation above, it's a well-known thought that eggs stand on end on the Equinox. Maybe you want to show others "eggsactly" what you know about this topic. Test you friends, neighbors, parents, siblings, etc--it's OK to be an "egghead"! The next Equinox occurs on September 22, 2006
Teachers: Are you Entering the Contest? Here's Your Checklist
