Ready for Closing Arguments? Defending Your Case for a Place

Before the secret locations are revealed, teachers Virginia DeNucci from Minnesota and Olivia Brohammer from Georgia both have their students give presentations in class to explain the locations they believe are the secret Mystery Classes.

If you haven't already seen their tips on the Mystery Class Resource page, take a look. Can you defend your place?

Teacher Tips:

Teacher Tip: Time to Celebrate!

You've all worked very hard and learned so much in these last eleven weeks. Teacher Barb DeSantis from New Jersey holds a celebration when the secret locations are revealed, and she invites a few people who helped the students on their quest.

As Barb says, "whether our answers are right or wrong, it is the learning that counts!" Now that's something to celebrate.

Look How Far You've Come

If the contest portion of Mystery Class doesn't result with you finding all ten secret locations, will you feel disappointed? It's natural if you do. But it may help if you try having a positive attitude. You've got much to be proud of. Just think how far you've come and how much you've learned in eleven short weeks!

Watch This and Catch the Excitement

In just one week, your new friends will reveal exactly where they are. Look how exciting things can get in this video:

Happy Earth Day Quiz: How Big is Your Footprint?
In Mystery Class, you've traveled the world searching for faraway places, new knowledge and your secret mystery friends. But actually, you and your new friends have been "connected" all along. Whether you live in Zurich, Zagreb, Zwerndorf or somewhere else, the fact is we all share the same global Web of Life.

Every day we each have an impact on the planet, or as some call it an "ecological footprint." How does your footprint measure up? Are you living large, with an ecological footprint exceeding the world average? Or do you walk softly and responsibly, leaving a smaller footprint? It's time to find out!
