| Landscape and Climate Sheffield is just about in the middle of England as you can see from the map. In a small space we have such different landscapes. There are high mountains and large lakes, rolling hills and flat land. Some of the coasts have large cliffs whilst other parts are sand or pebbles. The climate can also vary. Summers can be hot but also cold and wet. Winters can be mild but also very cold and icy. The weather can be totally different in the space of a few miles. The west of Sheffield can have snow (as it is high up) but the city will have none! |
