Traveling to Casey Station
Depending on weather conditions, a ship departing from Australia will take between 7 and 10 days to reach Casey. An A319 Airbus can fly to Casey’s blue ice aerodrome (Wilkins) in about 4½ hours however.  About 150-160 expeditioners visit Casey during the summer months of November through to April with around 16-20 members remaining on station for the remaining winter.
