Dear friends joining the Monarch South Migration this
year:
All México is living in sorrow because of the big damages Hurricane "Sean" caused
in the southern part of our country. More than two million people are
homeless today in that region. Fortunately, we, the Monarch Butterfly
zone are away from it and olnly clouds and rain reached this area.
For
almost two weeks we have temperatures of 15°C average, so not
cold, only fresh, but very, very cloudy, and forecasts say it will
continue this way for the next days.
No Monarch butterfly at sight. It might take now three more weeks to
see the first ones approaching our mountains. Timber logging seemed to
have decreased a little bit during the last months, but not as desired
and needed.
All our children are now at school. They know that the Monarchs´season
draws nearer and nearer, so they start preparing themselves to receive
your paper butterflies and letters in some weeks.
I have a daughter who is now 6 years old, her name is Laura Emilia. She
can perfectly write and read now, and I think she would be happy to get
a paper butterfly and a letter from somone of you, she will answer back
to you and send you a nice photo too. Until
next week, Maria Estela
