Dear
friends:
Monarchs are here, and actually this weekend we have already had some
few tourists, including maybe two or three foreigners. The weather
is wonderful and fresh in the mornings and evenings, and it is deep
blue sky and sunny during the day.
Our "Día de Muertos" was not that what I was awaiting.
Actually I had been invited to one of these musical events, but it
seems to be that it was finally canceled. Not many people come as in
former years. Only schools celebrated placing their "Ofrenda",
which you must already know about.
The latest news, is, that the day before yesterday, a person working
for the Municipal authorities here, told me that today, 03 Nov., the
Governor of Michoacán, the Governor of the State of México,
the Ambassador of Canada in México, and the Ambassador of the
USA in México, will be up in Sierra Chincua strengthening friendship
and cultural links between the three countries. I wasn’t told
anything else, I am not that close to her, and no one in town seems
to know about it. This, in the end “might be” more of a
Protocol ceremony, as we have had in former times up there in the Sanctuary.
Nothing else, I believe.
Many greetings to you all.
Until next week.
Ma. Estela.
