Back to this week's update.

The Overnight Roost: Why so hard to study?
The roosts monarch butterflies form during fall migration are quiet. They are well camoflauged and often high up in the trees. Overnight roosts have been very hard for scientists to study. Much of what we know about these roosts is based on observations made by citizen scientists. Why do you think it's so challenging to gather information about monarch roosts? As you learn about the overnight roost this week, keep a list of reasons. (Then come back and see our list!)
