Field of Clover
A farmer's field is a great place to find large numbers of nectaring monarchs. Thousands of acres of clover and alfalfa are planted for hay. The flowers are a magnet for hungry monarchs. Agricultural fields like these can provide a nectar corridor for monarchs to follow to Mexico.
"I spent the evening looking for a good nectar source. I found an old field of red clover that had 2+ dozen monarchs feeding."
