Surprisingly Cold
Angangueo had a hailstorm last Thursday. Most people are surprised to learn that the monarchs' winter home can be so cold. At high elevations temperatures often fall below freezing. Cold temperatures help monarchs conserve energy but below freezing temperatures can sometimes be dangerous.
