What is a Roost?
Three monarchs gathered for the night on August 27th near Christina Westley's home in South Dakota. Last year she had a roost of 200 monarchs on the same date.

"Not sure if this counts as a fall roost. I was walking my treeline that the monarchs used last year and saw 3 flying around. I did take a picture of these 2 males. I saw the one earlier in the day nectaring on my blazing stars. He is very crinkly and tattered but gets around fine."
