Finding Frostweed in Texas
As the migration funnels into Texas, monarch numbers increase dramatically.

"There were around 40 monarchs in the garden this afternoon, mainly nectaring on Frostweed which is in full bloom right now. A few were on Gregg's Mistflower, but they shun everything else—no Goldenrod (in full bloom now), no Mexican Milkweed, no Liatris. Just Frostweed, please! By far, when in bloom, frostweed is the greatest monarch plant ever." Matt Irwin, October 7, Dallas, Texas
