What can a single tag recovery reveal?

"I first saw the tagged monarch on September 8 in my butterfly garden. I didn't see it again until September 13th. This time I was able to capture it and read the code number. I discovered that Tag SJA 602 was issued to the Grand Island Public Schools in Nebraska. I live on the eastern side of Grand Island! The closest school is about 2.5 miles from me. I released the monarch in a large field across from my house and followed its flight almost a 1/2 mile south. I wonder where it will go next."
