Drinking Maple Sap
These Comma butterflies were photographed by Alan Wormington in Ontario's Point Pelee Park last week. They were drinking sap from this maple tree. On the same day, he saw thousands of migrant Red Admiral butterflies at the park. Comma butterflies are so named because a white comma can be seen when the butterfly's wings are folded.
