One of the Last
Very few monarchs of the overwintering generation remain, but Gregg Lee spotted this female on May 16th in Texas.

"The monarch flew by, laid an egg, then flew a few feet to a verbina to feed. I happened to have a camera in my hand. Not my record latest sighting, but it was the latest egg."
