Unusually Low Clusters
When visiting the Sierra Chincua sanctuary this week, Dr. Lincoln Brower noticed the monarch clusters were unusually low on the trees. He thinks this is a response to the thinning of the forest. The monarchs are clustering lower—where the wind is lighter and temperatures warmer—for protection against the elements.
