The Next Generation
Right now, monarchs are laying the eggs of the next generation. In 2006, Dr. Jim Edson caught a female monarch, gave her plenty of milkweed, and counted the eggs that she laid. His graph illustrates what's happening in nature now, as monarchs live out their final days.
