Egg On Bud
Where on the milkweed plant do monarchs lay their eggs? People are discovering them on the underside of leaves, on flower buds, at the growing tips of the plant, and in large numbers. When you see an egg, notice where it was laid and think about why. How might oviposition (egg-laying) selection be related to offspring survival?
