Milkweed Habitat
Milkweed can be a source of food for monarchs throughout their lives. Monarch caterpillars are specialists, they can only eat milkweed. Adult monarchs are generalists, they can feed from a wide variety of flowers, including milkweed — but not exclusively milkweed.

"Two very fresh adults on Butterfly Milkweed. Looked as if they were just nectaring, not egg laying."
