Milkweed has been eradicated from corn and soybean cropland by the increased use of herbicides on genetically modified, herbicide-tolerant crops (GMO's). In addition, more acreage is being planted in corn to meet increased demands for biofuels. Monarch recovery within agricultural landscape is essential.
